Double Trouble: On The Road – Chapter 5

Written by: Dalma Fodor

After the fair I rented a room at the nearest hotel but I wasn’t satisfied with a lot of things there so prior to leaving the place, I decided to write a letter of complaint:

To whoever it may concern,

I am writing to complain about the last two days that I spent in Atlanta Galleria Hotel.

The room itself was a bit dirty and seemed to have been unused for quite some time. I tried to take a shower but there was no hot water and when I tried to call the reception they didn’t pick up the phone. The bed sheets were clean but there were holes in them.

The next day I contacted the manager and was assured that I would be moved into another room but ended up staying in the same one for the next evening.

Moreover, at the end of my stay I was charged the full amount for the cost of stay in superior room, although I spent two nights in a standard room which is much cheaper according to your price list. I hope you agree with me that this type of service is completely unacceptable on so many levels. It is not the kind of treatment I would have expected. I am very disappointed with this terrible experience. I would like to have a half price refund and I hope you are willing to take steps to prevent such incidents in the future.

Awaiting your prompt reply,

Lucy Thompson
